The MAGA movement is showing signs of internal tension as former Trump adviser Steve Bannon and Fox News host Mark Levin go head-to-head over America’s military role in the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.
On his popular War Room podcast, Bannon blasted Levin — sarcastically dubbing him “Tel Aviv Levin” — accusing him of putting foreign interests ahead of President Trump’s America First agenda.
“He’s furious that things didn’t go his way,” Bannon said. “He’s acting like a mouthpiece for a foreign government.”
Levin fired back on social media, calling Bannon “a disgusting fraud” and accusing him of undermining the U.S. military during a key moment in Trump’s national security efforts.
“You opposed our military and our commander-in-chief as they took action to stop Iran’s nuclear threat,” Levin posted. “You gave aid and comfort to the enemy. That’s not patriotism — that’s betrayal.”
Levin, known for his fiery commentary on Fox News, has been pushing hard for strong U.S. military engagement against Iran. He’s urged President Trump to go further in standing with Israel and confronting Iranian aggression head-on.
But Bannon, along with fellow conservatives like Tucker Carlson and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), has warned that neoconservatives are dragging America into another endless war in the Middle East.
“The neocons want another Iraq or Afghanistan,” Bannon warned. “That’s not what MAGA is about. We need to focus on our own borders — not endless foreign conflicts.”
The debate intensified after President Trump approved precision military strikes on three nuclear sites near Tehran over the weekend. While the strikes were limited, they sent a clear message: Trump is not afraid to use American power when necessary.
Yet even Bannon admitted that if President Trump moves forward decisively, the MAGA base will fall in line.
“Once the base sees Trump’s strategy clearly, they’ll back him,” Bannon said. “They always do.”
As global tensions rise, the conservative movement is wrestling with a fundamental question: Should America act as the world’s policeman — or stay laser-focused on putting our country first?
