Trump Taking Over America’s Biggest City?

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is sounding the alarm — claiming that President Donald Trump could soon “take over” New York City if far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani wins the mayoral race.

Cuomo, now running as an independent, sat down with Stephen A. Smith on SiriusXM’s Straight Shooter this week, delivering one of the most explosive interviews of the campaign season.

As the election enters its final stretch, polls show Mamdani, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, holding a strong double-digit lead. Cuomo warned that such a victory would open the door for Trump to step in and restore order to America’s largest city.

“If Mamdani wins, you’re going to see Trump come in and take over New York City. Mark my words, Stephen A.,” Cuomo declared.

Smith, shocked, asked what Cuomo meant by “take over.” Cuomo’s response was blunt.

“The federal government controls everything,” he explained. “They can send the National Guard. They can close airports. They control housing money and health funds. If Washington turns off the faucet, you’re basically bankrupt.”

Cuomo accused Democrats of giving Trump exactly what he needs — a reason to act.

“He’s said before that he’ll take over cities run by Democrats who can’t control crime,” Cuomo said. “He doesn’t just send the National Guard — he sends a message: These Democrats don’t know how to govern. And with Mamdani, he’ll have that excuse on steroids. He’ll say a 34-year-old socialist is running the city into the ground and that the federal government needs to step in.”

⚖️ Trump’s Law-and-Order Message Still Resonates

President Trump has repeatedly promised to restore law and order in America’s most dangerous cities. While he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the New York City race — not even Republican Curtis Sliwa — his warnings about left-wing mismanagement continue to resonate with millions of voters.

Cuomo’s prediction adds new weight to Trump’s message: that weak, radical leadership threatens America’s cities — and strong leadership is the only answer.

💥 Cuomo Admits Democrats Are Imploding

The former governor didn’t stop there. He said the Democratic Party is at war with itself, torn apart by fear of its far-left base.

“They think they can make peace by endorsing radicals like Mamdani,” Cuomo said. “But the far left doesn’t want peace — they want power. They’re coming after the moderates next, and the moderates are too scared to stand up.”

Cuomo specifically called out Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, accusing them of being intimidated by socialist figures such as Bernie Sanders and AOC.

“They think they’re buying peace,” Cuomo warned. “But you can’t appease people who want to burn the system down.”

As chaos grows inside the Democratic Party, Trump’s message of strength, security, and leadership is finding new life even in deep-blue states.
