Attorney General Pam Bondi is under fire as public trust plummets amid renewed scrutiny of the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal. A new Atlas Intel poll reveals Bondi’s approval rating has nosedived to just 29%, down sharply from the 49% support she enjoyed shortly after her confirmation by President Donald Trump earlier this year.
The backlash stems from growing frustration over the Department of Justice’s handling of the Epstein files, with both conservatives and independent voters demanding full transparency. Many Americans, especially within the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, feel betrayed after repeated promises to declassify Epstein-related documents have gone unfulfilled.
Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, died mysteriously in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal trafficking charges. His death has sparked years of conspiracy theories and speculation about high-level cover-ups, especially surrounding his rumored client list of powerful elites.
Conservative Voters Demand Answers
The July Atlas Intel survey, which polled 1,935 Americans, found that Bondi’s disapproval rating soared to 61%. Among those polled, 36% identified as Republicans, 37% as independents, and 27% as Democrats—highlighting broad bipartisan concern.
The issue escalated after the DOJ and FBI released a two-page memo in July, claiming Epstein died by suicide and stating no incriminating client list exists. This only intensified public skepticism.
Adding fuel to the fire, The Wall Street Journal reported on an alleged bawdy birthday letter from Trump to Epstein in 2003. The article described a sketch of a nude woman and included the phrase: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.” President Trump immediately fired back, filing a $10 billion lawsuit against the publication, calling the claims false, malicious, and defamatory.
Polls Show Deep Discontent with DOJ Transparency
A separate Quinnipiac University poll, conducted July 10–14, found that 63% of voters disapprove of how the Trump administration has handled the Epstein records. Only 17% approved. Bondi’s personal job approval stood at just 32%, with 53% disapproval—a troubling sign for someone once seen as a rising star in Trump’s Justice Department.
In response to mounting pressure, President Trump has now directed the DOJ to unseal grand jury testimony tied to Epstein. But critics argue this limited release falls short, calling instead for the full disclosure of emails, photos, videos, and FBI witness interviews.
Conservative Voices Speak Out
Prominent conservative voices have joined the call for accountability. Laura Loomer slammed Bondi during a livestream, calling her a “coward” and accusing her of orchestrating a “cover-up.” She added, “This isn’t transparency—it’s deception.”
Megyn Kelly echoed those concerns, noting on social media: “Pam Bondi repeatedly misled the public on Epstein. Now she’s ducking questions and going silent. That’s not leadership.”
Even Trump himself has addressed the growing discontent. In a Truth Social post, he warned of “radical left lunatics” and “troublemakers” attempting to stir division within the MAGA base.
Meanwhile, Bondi has instructed her deputy, Todd Blanche, to file a motion to release Epstein grand jury transcripts. However, legal experts caution that the process could take months and that many documents may remain sealed indefinitely.
Why This Matters for Conservative Americans
For millions of patriotic Americans who supported President Trump to drain the swamp, the Epstein controversy hits at the heart of concerns about elite corruption, deep state secrecy, and two-tiered justice. The MAGA movement has always stood for truth, transparency, and law and order—and this case may be a defining test of those principles.
Whether Pam Bondi can recover her standing—and whether the DOJ will deliver real answers—remains to be seen.
