Democrats Accidentally Make Trump Stronger

Eric Trump, the adult son of former President Donald Trump, emphasized the significant campaign fundraising figures following his father’s recent conviction.

During an interview with Fox News’s Jesse Watters, Eric Trump reminisced about the 2016 campaign’s record-setting fundraising. “In 2016, we set the largest single-day fundraising record, pulling in $16 million,” he recalled. “As of just a few minutes ago, we’ve announced an astounding $52.8 million raised in just 24 hours, and that number has likely increased by another five to six million, reflecting the intense support we’ve received since the indictment at around 5:30 p.m.”

The former president, who is the leading candidate for the GOP presidential nomination, was found guilty of all 34 felony charges related to falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. The jury’s swift decision came on Thursday, prompting Donald Trump to comment that the “real verdict” would come from the voters on November 5th, referencing Election Day. His legal team has announced plans to explore all options for appealing the conviction.

On Friday morning, the Trump campaign reported raising approximately $35 million in the wake of the verdict. By Friday evening, Donald Trump announced online that the total had reached $52.8 million.

Speaking on “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Friday, Eric Trump criticized the handling of the case, pointing out the extensive security measures in lower Manhattan. “For six weeks, lower Manhattan was virtually shut down with an unprecedented NYPD presence,” he remarked. “Thousands of officers and numerous blocks barricaded for a $130,000 personal money issue. It’s unbelievable.”

Eric Trump went on to argue that the conviction has sparked widespread outrage, resulting in a surge of small-dollar donations to his father’s campaign. “The country is furious, and that’s evident in the unprecedented fundraising we’re seeing. The support for my father is overwhelming,” he stated. “Watch his poll numbers soar; this will undoubtedly propel him to victory.”
