Biden Begs For Black Voter Support

In a recent interview, President Biden reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to supporting Black Americans, emphasizing his track record of backing Black-owned small enterprises and highlighting the robust job creation figures under his administration.

During the interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart, Biden responded to inquiries about his support for Black America, asserting, “I have your back, as much as any president has in American history since Lyndon Johnson.” He underscored a significant increase in Black wealth, citing a remarkable 60 percent rise across the demographic.

Biden elaborated on his engagement with Black entrepreneurs who have benefited from government assistance such as loans and direct payments, facilitating the establishment and growth of their businesses. He emphasized the potential inherent in providing equal opportunities, asserting that individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Black, Hispanic, and Asian Americans, possess immense capabilities when given a fair chance. Biden further noted endorsements from prominent political action committees representing these communities, signaling broad support for his presidency.

The AAPI Victory Fund, the Collective PAC, and the Latino Victory Fund recently endorsed Biden’s reelection bid, coupled with a substantial $30 million commitment to mobilize support within communities of color.

Highlighting achievements in fostering small business growth, Biden pointed out that his administration has witnessed a surge in small business openings, marking the highest figures in half a century. He reiterated the significance of small businesses, which constitute a substantial portion of the nation’s economy.

Additionally, Biden emphasized his administration’s focus on domestic manufacturing, prioritizing American workers in the production process. He outlined his commitment to allocating a significant portion of production contracts to minority-owned and small businesses, surpassing the initially set target with 21 percent already allocated.

In essence, Biden’s remarks underscored his dedication to advancing economic equity and opportunity for marginalized communities, emphasizing tangible progress achieved under his leadership while outlining ongoing initiatives aimed at fostering inclusive economic growth.
