Former Vice President Kamala Harris shocked even left-leaning audiences this week after boldly claiming that Joe Biden was “fully competent” to serve another four years in the White House — a statement that left many Americans asking if she’s living in the same reality as the rest of the country.
During an appearance on Jon Stewart’s podcast, The Weekly Show, Harris made the eyebrow-raising remark while discussing the 2024 election. Despite Biden’s well-documented mental and physical decline, Harris insisted he could have continued serving as president — even though she admitted he likely wasn’t sharp enough to win reelection.
“I am not talking about competence at all. No, I believe he was fully competent to serve,” Harris told Stewart. “That really surprises me,” Stewart replied, echoing the disbelief felt by millions of viewers.

Earlier this week, Harris admitted during another podcast interview — The Diary of a CEO — that Biden appeared “off” before his disastrous debate with President Donald Trump.
“He called me from debate camp… and I could tell something was a little off,” Harris said. “I don’t think he wanted that debate.”
