President Donald Trump is celebrating big news from the entertainment world — and it’s hitting the liberal media where it hurts.
CBS announced it’s pulling the plug on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the anti-Trump late-night program that’s dominated the 11:35 p.m. time slot since 2015. But according to Trump, this cancellation is long overdue.
“I’m thrilled Colbert’s finally out,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “He had even less talent than viewers.”
Trump Slams Colbert, Kimmel, and Fallon — Praises Fox News’s Gutfeld
Never one to hold back, President Trump went further — aiming directly at Colbert’s liberal peers in late-night television.
“Word is, Jimmy Kimmel might be next — he’s even less talented than Colbert,” Trump posted. “Greg Gutfeld outshines all of them, including the fool on NBC who wrecked what used to be a legendary Tonight Show.”
Greg Gutfeld’s Gutfeld! continues to dominate late-night ratings, pulling in around 3.3 million viewers per episode, while Colbert’s Late Show lagged behind at 2.5 million — despite airing an hour later.
Was Colbert Canceled Over Trump Settlement?
CBS claims the decision to cancel The Late Show was “purely financial.” But many are questioning the timing — just days after Colbert publicly criticized Paramount Global, CBS’s parent company, for settling a $16 million legal dispute with Trump.
Colbert slammed the network live on-air Monday night, calling the settlement a “big fat bribe” and mocking the company’s push to get Trump’s FCC to approve a massive merger with Skydance.
Even liberal lawmakers like Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) are demanding answers.
“America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons,” Warren posted on X.
“The public deserves better,” Schiff added, appearing on Colbert’s show the night the news broke.
Colbert’s Exit Marks the End of an Era — and a Victory for Free Speech
Colbert, long known for mocking conservatives and promoting far-left guests, admitted Thursday night that his show isn’t being replaced.
“This isn’t just the conclusion of our show,” he said. “It’s the end of The Late Show on CBS entirely. No one’s taking over — the whole thing is being shut down.”
For millions of Americans tired of Hollywood’s liberal bias, this marks a turning point in the culture war.
With Trump once again setting the narrative, and conservative voices like Gutfeld rising to the top, it’s clear that the American people are choosing truth over mockery — and tuning out the tired left-wing noise.
