Trump Trashes Tim Walz Like Never Before

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — President Donald J. Trump is speaking out forcefully after the shocking assassination of Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman, a Democrat, and the attempted murder of State Senator John Hoffman, who was left critically wounded.

During a nationally televised interview on Sunday with ABC’s Rachel Scott, President Trump was asked whether he plans to contact Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) following the violent attack.

“It’s a terrible thing,” Trump said. “But he’s a terrible governor. I think he’s grossly incompetent. I might call him, but I might call other people too.”

Violence in Democrat-Run States Sparks National Concern

Governor Walz was quick to label the attack as “politically motivated,” but many conservatives are questioning whether weak leadership and soft-on-crime policies are putting Americans in danger—especially in Democrat-controlled cities and states.

President Trump responded with clarity and resolve on Saturday, shortly after the attacks:

“Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America,” Trump declared.
“God bless the great people of Minnesota—a truly great place.”

His strong message of support stood in stark contrast to Walz’s politically charged statements.

Longstanding Feud Between Trump and Walz Escalates

The friction between President Trump and Governor Walz has intensified over the past year, especially after Walz was selected as the Democratic Party’s nominee for vice president. The two have publicly clashed over immigration enforcement, national security, and the role of federal agencies.

Back in March, Trump made headlines from the Oval Office, saying:

“The guy’s a loser,” referring to Walz’s performance as governor.

The tension reached a boiling point when Walz accused Trump of using ICE as “his modern-day Gestapo”—a shocking and deeply offensive comparison that drew widespread condemnation from law enforcement advocates and veterans alike.

Conservatives Demand Accountability and Strong Leadership

As violence increases in left-leaning states, more Americans are calling for stronger leadership and real accountability. President Trump’s direct and unapologetic remarks continue to resonate with Americans who are tired of excuses and want action.

This latest tragedy has reignited national concerns about political violence, border security, and the urgent need for law and order.
