Trump Supporting Democrat Booted From Congress?

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is learning the hard way what happens when you don’t bow to the far-left mob.

During a fiery NewsNation town hall, veteran broadcaster Bill O’Reilly pressed Fetterman on why he still calls himself a Democrat — even as he supports many of President Donald Trump’s policies and defends Israel while his party turns sharply against both.

“Why are you a Democrat, though?” O’Reilly asked. “You support Israel, you oppose wild spending — those aren’t Democrat positions anymore.”

Fetterman didn’t back down.

“I believe in calling balls and strikes,” he said. “I just want to follow the truth.”

But inside the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, top strategists are already plotting to replace Fetterman in 2028, according to Axios. Former Rep. Conor Lamb, who lost to Fetterman in 2022, is reportedly the leading name being considered for a Democrat primary challenge.

Party Panic Over Fetterman’s Independent Streak

Even Fetterman admits he’s angered his own base.

“Parts of my base are really angry with me,” he said. “I vote 90-plus percent Democrat, but they’re mad because I’m fully supportive of Israel.”

That honesty has made him one of the most controversial Democrats in Washington. Progressive activists have turned on him, while Republican and Trump-voting Americans are beginning to respect his blunt, common-sense approach.

Fetterman Praises Trump Voters — ‘They’re Not Fascists’

In a rare moment of political honesty, Fetterman defended Trump supporters, saying the left’s constant attacks are unfair.

“I grew up around Trump voters. They’re not fascists or Nazis — they’re good people,” he told O’Reilly.

That statement alone drew outrage from liberal media outlets and far-left activists — proof, some say, that the Democratic Party has no room left for moderates or real debate.

Polls Show Growing Support From Conservatives

A recent Quinnipiac University poll found that while many Democrats disapprove of Fetterman’s performance, his approval numbers are soaring among conservatives and Republican voters. Many view him as a rare Democrat willing to speak truth instead of towing the radical line.

In 2022, Fetterman was the only Senate candidate from either party to flip a seat, but the same independence that helped him win could now cost him his career.

Bottom Line

Fetterman may call himself a Democrat, but his support for Israel, his defense of Trump voters, and his rejection of far-left extremism have made him a political outcast.

Whether he switches parties or faces a brutal primary fight, one thing is certain — Fetterman’s future in the Democrat Party looks shakier by the day.
