Trump Says No More ‘Mr. Nice Guy’

President Donald Trump has a blunt message for criminals and vagrants in the nation’s capital: Your free ride is over.

In a fiery Truth Social post ahead of a Monday White House press conference, Trump vowed an unprecedented federal sweep to clean up Washington, D.C. — restoring law and order, removing homeless encampments, and putting violent offenders behind bars.

“I’m going to make our Capital safer and more beautiful than ever before,” Trump declared. “The homeless will be moved — immediately — to safe shelters far from the Capital. Criminals will be locked up where they belong. No delays. No excuses. No ‘Mr. Nice Guy.’”

Trump Promises Fast Action — ‘Just Like the Border’

The president compared his upcoming crackdown to his success in ending the border surge, noting that this mission will be “even easier” than stopping millions of illegal crossings.

Trump’s hardline stance follows last weekend’s shocking attack on 19-year-old Edward Coristine, a former Department of Government Efficiency staffer, who was beaten bloody during a carjacking attempt. The photo of the shirtless, bloodied victim posted by Trump sent shockwaves through social media — and a warning to D.C. leadership.

“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, we will take federal control of the city and run it the way it should be run,” Trump said. “This should have been done a long time ago.”

Federal Law Enforcement Already on the Move

According to The New York Post, federal officers could hit D.C. streets as early as Friday. National Guard vehicles were spotted near the D.C. Armory Thursday morning, signaling preparations for a large-scale mobilization.

CNN reports that the operation will involve “highly visible” federal officers in marked units — a clear signal to would-be criminals that Washington is no longer open for lawlessness.

Even the Democrat Mayor Is Bracing for Impact

D.C.’s Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser admitted on MSNBC that she expects Trump’s plan will involve larger numbers of federal officers in neighborhoods for extended periods, directly targeting the city’s most dangerous areas.

Law and Order Is Back

For millions of Americans — especially those who remember the safer, cleaner Washington of decades past — Trump’s move signals a turning point. The message is simple: under President Trump, criminals won’t be coddled, and America’s capital belongs to its law-abiding citizens once again.
