Trump Reveals Who The Real Insurrectionist Is

On Thursday, former President Donald Trump vehemently criticized President Joe Biden, accusing him of being involved in an insurrection. This came in response to the Colorado Supreme Court’s recent decision, which declared Trump ineligible to appear on the state’s 2024 Republican primary ballot due to his alleged role in the events of January 6, 2021.

President Biden, en route to a campaign event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, asserted Trump’s support for an insurrection. He categorically stated, “He certainly supported an insurrection. No question about it. None. Zero.”

The Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling was grounded in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which disqualifies individuals from holding office if they participated in an insurrection against the Constitution after taking an oath to support it. Despite never facing charges of insurrection, Trump is challenging the decision and seeking relief from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump expressed his denial of the insurrection label, emphasizing his words from the January 6 speech where he urged supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” march to the Capitol. He contrasted this with a pointed accusation against President Biden, declaring, “I’m not an Insurrectionist (‘PEACEFULLY & PATRIOTICALLY’). Crooked Joe Biden is!!!”

While Biden refrained from directly commenting on the Colorado court ruling, he deemed it “self-evident” that Trump had supported an insurrection. The President acknowledged the events of January 6, stating, “Certain things are self-evident. You saw it all. Now, whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision.”
