Trump Reveals Newest ICE Hires

In a dramatic new move to restore law and order, President Donald Trump’s administration has greenlit a massive new immigration detention center in Florida’s Everglades—drawing praise from supporters and outrage from left-wing activists.

DHS Drops Viral Meme to Announce Florida’s New Migrant Facility

The Department of Homeland Security went viral after sharing a meme featuring alligators wearing ICE hats guarding the perimeter of the facility. Dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” the site is already under construction on a remote airstrip and is expected to hold up to 5,000 illegal immigrants.

“Coming soon!” DHS posted on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the facility’s natural barriers—swamps, isolation, and wildlife—as key security features.

A Cost-Effective, High-Security Response to Illegal Immigration

The state of Florida expects the site to cost $450 million annually, but conservative leaders say it’s a smart investment to protect American communities and reduce taxpayer burden from illegal immigration.

The center will initially open with 500 to 1,000 beds, rapidly expanding by 500-bed increments. The goal? Full operation by early July, just in time for the Trump administration’s historic mass deportation campaign—the largest in U.S. history.

Trump, DeSantis, and Noem Move Fast to Secure the Border

Governor Ron DeSantis, backed by President Trump, used his emergency powers to fast-track the project. By declaring a state emergency on illegal immigration, Florida was able to bypass red tape and accelerate development.

“If someone escapes,” DeSantis said, “there are a lot of alligators. No one’s going anywhere.”

National Guard troops trained under the 287(g) program will assist in operations. The center will also house migrants transferred by ICE, further supporting Trump’s law-and-order immigration strategy.

Left-Wing Critics in Full Meltdown Mode

Predictably, liberal critics and activist groups are lashing out. The ACLU of Florida called the project “abusive,” while the Florida Immigrant Coalition accused it of “engineered suffering.” Radical environmental groups joined with Native American protestors to demonstrate outside the site over the weekend.

But many Americans aren’t buying the outrage.

“This isn’t about cruelty—it’s about security,” said one Florida resident on social media. “President Trump is doing what Biden refused to do: protect our borders.”

Temporary FEMA Trailers, Permanent Border Solutions

The first phase of the facility will use refurbished FEMA trailers, originally designed for disaster relief, to house detainees. This cost-efficient solution keeps taxpayer spending low while expanding capacity fast.

The projected cost per detainee is just $245 per day—far less than the long-term cost of releasing illegal migrants into American communities. Florida is seeking federal reimbursement through DHS and FEMA, which have budgetary authority for border security and emergency spending.

Trump’s Homeland Security Team Speaks Out

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem summed it up best:

“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are working at turbo speed to deliver cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet the American people’s demand for mass deportation of criminal illegal aliens.”

Conclusion: Trump Delivers Where Biden Failed

“Alligator Alcatraz” is more than a meme—it’s a symbol of strength, sovereignty, and security. As Biden’s weak border policies continue to endanger American families, Trump is stepping up once again with bold action and proven results.

The facility is expected to be fully operational in 30 to 60 days, making it a key milestone in the return of strong, America First immigration enforcement.
