Trump Refuses To Release Important Data?

President Donald Trump’s new nominee to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics is drawing a line in the sand — no more monthly jobs reports until the Biden-era “fake” data is fixed.

Heritage Foundation economist EJ Antoni, tapped by Trump to restore accuracy and accountability to America’s economic reporting, told Fox News Digital that the manipulated employment numbers coming out of Washington have done serious damage to the economy, investors, and the public’s trust.

“How can small businesses, retirees managing their savings, or even the Federal Reserve make smart decisions if they’re basing them on phony numbers?” Antoni said. “Until these serious problems are fixed, the BLS should suspend the unreliable monthly reports and rely on the more accurate quarterly data.”

Trump’s nomination comes just days after he fired Biden’s handpicked commissioner, Erika McEntarfer, over what he calls deliberate deception in the July jobs report.

In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump accused McEntarfer of inflating job growth before the 2024 election to help Kamala Harris, then deflating numbers afterward to hurt his presidency. He pointed to “record-breaking” errors, including overstating March 2024 jobs by more than 800,000 and another 112,000 right before Election Day.

“These numbers are too wrong to be accidental,” Trump declared. “The American people deserve honest, accurate jobs data — not politically manipulated propaganda. The economy is BOOMING under TRUMP, even with a Federal Reserve that played games with interest rates to help Democrats. It’s time to end the corruption.”

Antoni, a vocal critic of Biden’s economic policies, previously told Steve Bannon that the BLS should have a “MAGA Republican” in charge to ensure the truth gets to the American people. His appointment signals Trump’s determination to root out political interference and restore confidence in the nation’s economic statistics.
