Trump Puts Another Ivy School In Its Place

President Donald Trump has struck another blow against the radical left, securing a $50 million settlement with Brown University that forces the Ivy League institution to abandon its woke DEI programs and restore basic American values.

In a triumphant post on Truth Social, Trump celebrated the victory:

“Anti-Semitism, anti-Christian bias, and all forms of discrimination are finished. The woke agenda at Brown is officially over.”

The settlement comes after the Trump administration froze hundreds of millions in federal research funding to Brown as part of a crackdown on antisemitism, radical gender ideology, and discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices. Now, Brown University has agreed to dismantle its DEI infrastructure, adopt federal definitions of male and female, and implement policies that protect Jewish students and uphold merit-based education.

Victory for Common Sense and Traditional Values

The Trump administration hailed the deal as a model for how to defund and dismantle woke institutions that misuse taxpayer dollars.

Unlike a similar deal with Columbia University last week, Brown’s agreement goes even further by banning any admissions “proxies” for race—including personal essays and “diversity narratives.” Brown is also now required to submit detailed data on admissions, including GPA, test scores, and race, which will undergo comprehensive federal audits.

“Aspiring students will be judged solely on their merit—not skin color or gender,” said Education Secretary Linda McMahon.
“Women’s sports and private spaces will once again be for women. That’s what Title IX was meant to do.”

Woke Programs Out, Workforce Investment In

As part of the settlement, Brown will redirect $50 million over the next decade to Rhode Island workforce development—a sharp shift from social justice activism to supporting real American jobs.

The agreement also brings Brown in line with federal gender standards for sports and campus facilities, signaling a significant retreat from progressive gender ideology.

While Brown University President Christina Paxson claimed the agreement allows the school to maintain its academic freedom, she admitted some terms were new federal requirements not previously enforced.

“Most of the agreement reflects policies we already follow,” Paxson said.
“But other parts represent the current administration’s priorities in resolving the funding freeze.”

Elite Backlash Can’t Stop the Reform Movement

Left-wing academics are already complaining. Ted Mitchell, head of the American Council on Education, tried to dismiss the agreement as mere politics:

“These are deals, not policies,” Mitchell said.

But for everyday Americans—and especially for older voters who believe in merit, fairness, and traditional values—this is exactly the kind of action they want to see.

President Trump has once again proven he’s not afraid to stand up to elite institutions and put the interests of students, taxpayers, and the American people first.

With Columbia and Brown bending the knee, the question is:
Which Ivy League university will be next?
