Trump Pardoned By Romney?

Former Utah Senator Mitt Romney dropped a bombshell this week, admitting he asked the Biden White House to pardon President Donald Trump during the Justice Department’s investigation into Trump’s efforts to contest the 2020 election results.

Speaking at Drew University in New Jersey, Romney told CNN’s Dana Bash that he personally called a senior Biden adviser to push for a pardon.

“If the DOJ indicts President Trump, I hope President Biden will immediately eliminate that and issue a pardon,” Romney confessed.

Romney Claims He Wanted To Avoid “Political Prosecutions”

Romney insisted his request wasn’t about politics but about preventing America from crossing a dangerous line.

“We can’t begin prosecuting political opponents. That’s not America,” Romney said. “A pardon would have been the way to stop the anger, the hate, and the division.”

Romney’s remarks come even though he was one of Trump’s harshest critics in the Senate — and the only Republican to vote against Trump in both impeachment trials.

Double Standards in Washington?

Romney also condemned the Trump administration’s decision to indict former FBI Director James Comey, even though Comey faces charges of lying to Congress and obstructing a proceeding.

The former senator warned that using the justice system to target rivals — whether against Trump or Comey — puts the country on a “very dangerous path.”

But conservatives point out the glaring contradiction: Democrats have spent years weaponizing the DOJ against Trump while shielding their own allies from accountability.

Trump’s Long Fight Against the “Witch Hunt”

President Trump has repeatedly demanded accountability for Comey and others who launched the bogus Russia collusion probe that tried to destroy his presidency. Trump has called it nothing more than a “witch hunt” designed by the deep state to stop him.

Romney, however, speculated that Trump’s demand for justice is fueled by the humiliation of being dragged into courtrooms by political enemies.

“The most powerful negative emotion is humiliation,” Romney claimed. “Trump was humiliated sitting in a New York courtroom, and that drives much of his response.”

Bottom Line: Why Did Romney Really Push a Pardon?

Romney’s revelation raises one huge question: Why would one of Trump’s biggest Republican critics suddenly want Biden to protect him?

For conservatives, the answer is clear — America cannot survive if Democrats continue using the justice system as a political weapon.

This fight isn’t just about Trump. It’s about the future of the Republic, the rule of law, and whether the Biden DOJ and the Washington elite can keep targeting their opponents without consequence.
