Trump Officially Deploys The Troops

Federal Court Gives Trump Green Light to Protect America’s Borders, ICE Agents, and Law-Abiding Citizens

President Donald Trump has scored a major legal victory in his ongoing mission to restore law and order across the country. A federal appeals court has ruled that the Trump administration can deploy National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon — a city long plagued by left-wing violence and anti-ICE protests.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco issued the ruling Monday, handing the president’s team a decisive win in its effort to crack down on crime, illegal immigration, and attacks on federal property. Two of the three judges siding with Trump were appointed by him, while the lone dissenter was a Bill Clinton appointee.

The decision allows the administration to send 200 Oregon National Guard troops to protect ICE facilities in Portland, overturning an earlier lower-court block pushed by Democrat leaders.

A Constitutional Victory for Law and Order

The Trump administration argued that the U.S. Constitution clearly grants the president authority to call up the National Guard when there is a “rebellion or danger of rebellion” against the government. The appeals court agreed, ruling that President Trump acted fully within his lawful powers.

The judges concluded that the president’s move was based on a “reasonable assessment of the facts and law within a range of honest judgment.” They added that Trump’s deployment of only 200 Guardsmen, and for just 60 days, proved that his response was measured, justified, and responsible.

Violence and Chaos Prompt Federal Action

While many anti-ICE protests have remained peaceful, the court acknowledged that several turned violent — including a shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, where a gunman allegedly targeted federal agents. Such events, the ruling said, supported the president’s decision to act quickly to prevent further attacks on federal law enforcement officers and innocent citizens.

The administration initially sought to send Guard units from both California and Oregon, but those plans were halted by a Democrat-appointed federal judge at the request of state officials. Monday’s ruling finally clears the way for the deployment — a major win for the Trump administration’s public-safety agenda.

Democrat Leaders Scramble to Stop Trump

The ruling may also set a precedent for Trump’s upcoming legal battles with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, both of whom are trying to block similar troop deployments and border-security operations.

Democrat critics claim the president’s actions are politically motivated, but supporters argue that Trump is simply defending America’s borders, enforcing immigration laws, and protecting U.S. agents under attack.

Trump Delivers on His Promise

This decision underscores what millions of Americans already know: President Trump keeps his promises. From securing the border to standing with law enforcement, Trump continues to take bold action to defend the country — even when faced with relentless obstruction from the Left.

Bayliss Wagner of the Austin American-Statesman first reported the breaking news on X, confirming that the administration plans to move forward with the deployment immediately.
