President Donald J. Trump has issued a no-nonsense warning to far-left New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor. Speaking directly from a high-profile dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump made it clear: If Mamdani wants cooperation from Washington, he’ll need to fall in line.
“He needs money from the White House — and he will behave,” Trump said firmly. “He better behave. Otherwise, he’ll have big problems.”
Trump Slams Radical Leftism in New York Politics
Trump didn’t hold back on Mamdani’s political ideology, calling out the 33-year-old Democrat as a “communist,” not just a “democratic socialist.” Mamdani, who is aligned with the controversial Democratic Socialists of America, has sparked outrage for his anti-Israel rhetoric and extreme proposals.
“He’s not a socialist. He’s a communist,” Trump declared. “He’s said terrible things about Jewish people and a lot of others.”
The statement comes just weeks after Mamdani’s shocking win over former Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary — a move that many fear could push New York City even further to the left.
Calls to Arrest Netanyahu Spark Backlash
In one of his most controversial statements yet, Mamdani publicly vowed to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he ever visits New York City. His claim came shortly after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a warrant accusing Netanyahu of war crimes — despite the fact that Israel does not recognize the ICC’s authority.
“As mayor, I would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu,” Mamdani stated, citing “international law” and so-called progressive values.
This explosive comment has drawn sharp rebuke from both Republicans and moderate Democrats, with many warning that Mamdani’s radical stance threatens to isolate America’s closest ally in the Middle East.
Trump and Netanyahu Respond Swiftly
Netanyahu, asked if he feared being detained, dismissed Mamdani’s threat as laughable.
“I’m not concerned about that,” the prime minister said.
Trump shot back instantly: “I’ll get him out.”
The Israeli leader went further, warning that Palestinian statehood would be a disaster, especially in light of the brutal October 7th Hamas attacks, where terrorists massacred civilians, raped women, and invaded Israeli towns through a network of terror tunnels.
“They didn’t build a state — they built bunkers and tunnels to kill and terrorize,” Netanyahu said. “And now we’re supposed to reward them with sovereignty?”
Trump’s Vision: Prosperity, Not Terror
Earlier this year, President Trump proposed a bold, peace-through-prosperity vision: developing Gaza into a commercial and resort hub to create jobs and eliminate terrorist strongholds. The idea stood in sharp contrast to the Democrat narrative of surrendering land to violent extremists.
Trump’s America First approach — strong borders, strong alliances, and no tolerance for anti-Israel radicals — continues to resonate with voters who are deeply concerned about the direction of major U.S. cities and America’s role in global security.
Bottom Line: A Warning from the White House
With Mamdani rising in a city already struggling with crime, antisemitism, and economic decay, Trump’s message is crystal clear: Respect American allies, drop the radicalism, or expect serious consequences.
