Trump Hits New High With Americans

President Donald Trump has just reached his highest approval rating yet, with a brand-new poll showing a sharp surge in support as his law-and-order agenda takes hold across the nation.

Trump’s Approval Skyrockets

The Associated Press–NORC survey released Wednesday revealed Trump’s nationwide approval rating at 45%—a 5-point jump in just one month. That marks his best showing ever in this particular poll, spanning both his first and second terms in office.

This surge comes as the president takes bold action to restore order in Washington, D.C., deploying the National Guard to combat rising crime.

Crime Crackdown Resonates With Americans

The poll shows Trump receiving 53% approval on crime, including overwhelming backing from Republicans (88% support) and even acknowledgment from some Democrats.

Americans are clearly tired of unsafe streets:

  • 80% of voters believe crime is a major problem in America’s big cities.
  • 55% say they support the National Guard and U.S. military helping local police fight crime.
  • While fewer support a full federal takeover of police departments, the majority want tough action now.

Trump Gains Ground on Immigration, Economy, and Security

Beyond crime, Trump scored his best marks ever on several key issues:

  • Immigration: 44% approval
  • Economy: 43% approval
  • Ukraine war: 42% approval

These gains underscore the growing confidence that Americans have in Trump’s leadership—especially compared to weak Democrat policies that have failed to keep families safe or the economy strong.

National Guard Deployment Saving Lives

Vice President JD Vance noted that Washington, D.C. normally suffers a murder every other day, but since Trump’s order to deploy the National Guard, the city went nearly two weeks without a single killing.

“That’s six or seven lives saved already,” Vance said, crediting Trump’s decisive action.

On Tuesday, Trump told his Cabinet that he intends to bring back the death penalty to D.C., where it has been banned since 1981. The president made clear that violent criminals should face real consequences, not soft-on-crime policies pushed by liberal leaders.

Bottom Line: Americans Rally Behind Trump

This AP-NORC poll—conducted August 21–25 among 1,182 adults nationwide—shows a clear trend: Americans are rallying behind President Trump as he delivers on his promises of law, order, and safety.

With crime raging in Democrat-run cities and the economy on edge, Trump’s steady leadership is winning hearts across the country. His numbers are climbing—and for good reason.
