Trump Fooled By Putin?

In a bombshell interview, the European Union’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “laughing” at President Donald Trump’s peace push to end the war in Ukraine.

Kallas admitted Trump’s efforts are “welcome,” but said Moscow has no real interest in negotiations after last week’s high-stakes Alaska summit. “Putin is just laughing, not stopping the killing but increasing the killing,” she told BBC Radio.

Trump Fighting for Peace

President Trump has made it his mission to bring the brutal Russia-Ukraine war to an end. Last week, he met directly with Putin in Anchorage, Alaska. Days later, he held talks at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and seven European leaders, proving America is once again leading the charge for peace.

Trump even spoke personally with Putin by phone, urging him to sit down face-to-face with Zelensky to hammer out a deal.

Moscow’s Defiant Demands

But Russia is stonewalling. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told NBC News that Putin will only meet with Zelensky “when the agenda is ready.” Moscow’s demands? That Ukraine never join NATO and surrender territory Russian forces already seized.

Zelensky has rejected those terms, demanding NATO-style security guarantees to keep Russia from invading again. On Friday, he met with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte to discuss next steps in defending Europe and Ukraine.

Europe’s Weak Response

Kallas, meanwhile, argued Putin left the U.S. with more than just a photo-op. “He got such a welcoming in America,” she said, suggesting the Kremlin came out stronger while Europe continues to hesitate.

The Big Question

Trump is working tirelessly to end this bloody conflict — but will Putin finally come to the table, or is he simply stringing along the West while testing America’s resolve?
