Trump Deporting US Citizens

In a shocking twist, a Boston-born American citizen and immigration attorney says she received an official deportation notice from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—despite being a lifelong U.S. citizen.

Confused by the Biden-Era Bureaucracy? You’re Not Alone.

Pamela Rioles Saeed, an immigration lawyer in Tucson, Arizona, says she was blindsided by an email from DHS instructing her to leave the United States within seven days.

“At first, I thought it was for a client. But no—it had my name on it,” Saeed told The Arizona Republic.

The incident comes amid a broader effort led by President Donald Trump to restore law and order and crack down on mass illegal immigration—an effort that is widely supported by Americans across the heartland.

But now, concerns are growing that the deep state bureaucracy, still riddled with Biden-era leftovers, may be casting too wide a net.

DHS Admits Mistakes: “Some Notices Went to the Wrong People”

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that these emails were supposed to go to migrants whose temporary parole had expired—but admitted that some may have been sent in error.

“Notices may have been sent to unintended recipients,” a DHS spokesperson acknowledged.

Saeed suspects her inclusion stemmed from her frequent use of professional contact information on asylum paperwork. But she’s not ruling out something more sinister: “This could be an intimidation tactic.”

More American Citizens Are Coming Forward With the Same Story

She’s not the only one.

Nicole Micheroni, a U.S.-born attorney in Massachusetts, received a similar notice and was left just as puzzled.

“I have no parole status. I was born here. Why would I receive this?” Micheroni asked Newsweek.

Why Are U.S. Citizens Getting These Notices?

A senior DHS official claimed the notices are aimed at ending illegal parole programs that were abused during the Biden administration. However, errors in automated systems and data handling have resulted in American citizens getting swept up in the dragnet.

This includes attorneys, nonprofit advocates, and even U.S.-born doctors who’ve supported migrants through legal channels.

Elon Musk’s Role: Cleaning House or Causing Chaos?

In recent days, reports have surfaced that the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency was granted limited access to immigration databases in order to automate and streamline the dismantling of unlawful parole programs.

While Musk’s team is working to bring much-needed reform and accountability, it’s unclear how unrelated individuals like Saeed ended up on the email distribution list.

Is this a software glitch—or are patriotic Americans being targeted?

Conservatives Are Right to Demand Answers

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, a senior fellow at the liberal-leaning American Immigration Council, admitted that such mistakes—even if corrected later—can cause real panic in communities and professional circles.

“The government needs to slow down and get it right the first time,” he warned.

But for many conservatives, this is further proof that bureaucratic incompetence is alive and well, and that President Trump’s return to disciplined enforcement is not only necessary—but overdue.
