Trump Cutting Federal Aid To Who?

🔷 Trump Draws the Line on “Lawless Cities”

President Donald Trump has officially ordered a sweeping review of all federal aid to Portland, Oregon, warning that cities tolerating chaos and violence may soon see their funding dry up.

“We will not fund states that allow anarchy,” declared White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Friday. “President Trump believes taxpayer dollars should support safety, not street riots.”

The announcement comes as part of Trump’s broader campaign to restore law and order across America—one of the central promises of his second term.

🔷 Trump Moves to Protect Americans — “Enough Is Enough”

Under the directive, the Trump administration is reassessing billions in aid flowing to cities where crime, rioting, and anti-police protests have become the norm.

President Trump, known for his tough stance on law enforcement, has already launched the largest deportation effort in U.S. history and ordered the deployment of National Guard troops to several Democrat-run cities, including Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Memphis, and Portland.

“This President isn’t afraid to do what’s right,” Leavitt said. “He’s making sure federal funds go to communities that respect law and order—not to politicians who turn a blind eye to chaos.”

🔷 “The Radical Left Reign of Terror Ends Now”

Leavitt didn’t hold back:

“President Trump will end the radical left reign of terror in Portland once and for all. The President has directed Secretary Pete Hegseth to deploy all necessary troops to protect the war-ravaged city.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed additional federal agents are already en route to Portland to back up local law enforcement and defend federal facilities.

đź”· Arrest of Conservative Journalist Sparks Nationwide Outrage

Tensions escalated when independent journalist Nicholas Sortor, a well-known conservative reporter, was arrested outside an ICE facility during an anti-Trump protest.

Video footage shows Sortor surrounded by protesters and acting in self-defense before being detained. The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division is now investigating whether Sortor was targeted for his political views.

“This is viewpoint discrimination, plain and simple,” Leavitt said. “In Portland today, the Left thinks they can decide who gets to speak, who gets to walk the streets, and who gets arrested.”

🔷 Democrats Push Back — Trump Doubles Down

Democrat leaders in Oregon, including Governor Tina Kotek and Attorney General Dan Rayfield, blasted the President’s actions. They accused Trump of “militarizing law enforcement” and claimed the deployment of National Guard troops was politically motivated.

Kotek insisted, “There is no insurrection or threat to public safety that justifies military intervention.”

But the Trump administration isn’t budging.

“Portland is not the property of left-wing mobs,” Leavitt shot back. “It belongs to the American people.”

đź”· Federal Judge Weighs In

U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut heard arguments Friday over whether to block the deployment of National Guard troops. Oregon’s lawsuit, filed after a heated phone call between Governor Kotek and the President, claims the move violates state sovereignty.

A ruling is expected soon, but the White House insists it will defend federal law, federal property, and the safety of American citizens — at any cost.

Bottom Line

President Trump’s latest move sends a clear message: cities that tolerate lawlessness will no longer receive blank checks from Washington.

The fight over Portland’s federal aid is shaping up to be a defining battle between Trump’s vision of law and order and the Left’s tolerance of chaos.
