Trump Calls Out Fox News

On Sunday, former President Trump expressed his frustration with Fox News, arguing that the network is giving excessive airtime to Democratic narratives just days ahead of the upcoming election. He took to his Truth Social platform to voice his concerns, stating, “Fox News keeps airing Democrat ads as part of their news coverage. It seems like their soundbites are dominated by Kamala Harris and her Democratic allies.”

Trump didn’t hold back, declaring, “FOX NEWS IS NOT OUR FRIEND. It’s outrageous!” His comments highlight a growing tension between Trump and Fox, despite his frequent appearances on the channel for interviews and events. Just this past weekend, he phoned into “Fox & Friends” to talk about media coverage of former Rep. Liz Cheney, but his frustration with the network’s direction remains evident.

In recent weeks, Trump has criticized Fox for airing negative political advertisements aimed at him. During an interview, he suggested that he would reach out directly to Rupert Murdoch to request that these ads be pulled. “In the past, negative ads were not a part of the game,” Trump lamented. “When I leave here, I’m bombarded with attack ads, and it’s tough to counter that.”

Trump pointed out the imbalance he perceives in the coverage, saying, “You mean Fox News? When I leave, it’s as if 12 people from Kamala’s camp take over the airwaves, and I’m left without a voice. We need to rethink how we handle these negative ads; it’s unfair.”

As the election approaches, tensions are running high. Current polls show a tight race between Trump and Vice President Harris, with Trump holding a slight edge at 48.3% compared to Harris’s 48.1%. With just days left before voters head to the polls, Trump’s comments underscore a critical moment for the Republican base and the media landscape they navigate.
