Trump Accuses Biden of Sabotaging His Presidency

President-elect Donald Trump has criticized President Joe Biden for making the transition between administrations more difficult, pointing to Biden’s recent executive actions, especially those related to climate change and energy policy. Trump’s remarks came Monday after Biden announced new restrictions on oil and gas drilling in several key areas, including off the East Coast and parts of Alaska.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump accused Biden of using his final days in office to create chaos, referring to it as “Lawfare” and calling Biden’s executive orders part of a “Green New Scam.” Trump argued these policies are harmful to American energy independence and a waste of taxpayer money. “Biden is doing everything possible to make the transition as difficult as possible, from costly and ridiculous Executive Orders to other money-wasting Hoaxes,” Trump wrote.

The Biden administration’s decision to block new drilling leases just two weeks before Trump is set to assume office has drawn significant criticism from the incoming president, who has vowed to prioritize domestic energy production. The move halts oil and gas drilling off the East Coast, parts of Alaska, and the Gulf of Mexico—regions Trump has promised to reopen once in office. While Trump has made it clear that he intends to reverse Biden’s executive orders, it remains uncertain whether he will be able to quickly undo the restrictions, as similar attempts to reauthorize drilling on federal lands were blocked during his first term.

In a message to his supporters, Trump reassured them that these executive orders would be swiftly overturned. “Don’t be afraid of these ‘Orders’ they are all going to be terminated soon, and we are going to become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!” he declared.

Despite Trump’s claims that the transition has been hindered by Biden’s actions, his incoming chief of staff, Susie Wiles, has praised the White House’s cooperation. In an interview with Axios, Wiles acknowledged that White House chief of staff Jeff Zients had been professional and helpful in ensuring the transition process ran smoothly. However, many conservative critics remain concerned that Biden’s policies will make it harder for the new administration to implement its agenda, especially on energy and economic growth.
