Top GOP Official Dumps Trump

Veteran Republican strategist and Fox News contributor Karl Rove recently weighed in on President Donald Trump’s performance, offering a tough but revealing analysis of where the Trump administration stands — and how the media is missing the real story.

Speaking with Wall Street Journal editorial page editor Paul Gigot on Fox News, Rove responded to a recent poll that shows 38% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, with even fewer giving him credit for fighting inflation and tariffs.

Border Security: A Major Victory for Trump

Despite media hand-wringing, Rove made it clear that President Trump remains strongest where it matters most — securing the southern border.

“On border security, President Trump’s approval rating is 11 points higher than his overall rating,” Rove said. “He gets solid marks on immigration and deportations — areas where Americans see real progress.”

Under Trump’s leadership, illegal crossings have dramatically fallen, making the southern border manageable for the first time in years. Yet the mainstream media barely mentions it.

Economic Messaging: A Work in Progress

While Rove admitted that concerns linger about short-term economic growth, he blamed communication, not substance.

“People voted for Trump because they remembered how much better life was under his leadership — lower prices, stronger savings, and affordable gas,” Rove explained. “They didn’t need a complicated plan. They had hope based on real experience.”

The current polling reflects frustration with day-to-day costs: higher grocery bills, surging gas prices, and volatile stock markets under the Biden-Harris administration. Americans know what’s possible — they lived it during Trump’s first term.

The Real Problem: Media Distortion and Public Perception

Rove pointed out that although Trump’s policies are already improving key sectors, the administration needs to cut through the noise.

“President Trump hasn’t yet gone to the border to explain his massive wins to the American people. The same goes for his economic agenda. Voters hear about tariffs and taxes, but without strong messaging, they don’t see how much better things are poised to get.”

Today, over 61% of Americans have a stake in the stock market. They care about real returns, lower taxes, border security, and fighting inflation — all issues where President Trump continues to deliver.

Bottom Line: President Trump Delivers Results Where Biden Failed

While liberal media outlets try to spin a negative narrative, the truth remains:

  • Trump has crushed the border crisis.
  • Trump is fighting to lower inflation.
  • Trump is making American energy affordable again.

The American people know it.
The fake news media can’t hide it much longer.

Conclusion: A New Era of American Strength Is Here

President Trump is overcoming the obstacles put in his path — just as he did before. And as his administration ramps up its communication efforts, Americans are ready to rally behind the policies that truly make our nation stronger, freer, and more prosperous.
