Republican Traitor’s Family Disowns Him

Former Congressman Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican from Illinois, disclosed in a recent CNN interview that his family had severed ties with him following his departure from Congress. Additionally, he mentioned that he had “lost the trust” of prominent Fox News host Sean Hannity.

According to The Hill, Kinzinger expressed that his family had gone to the extent of sending him a certified disownment letter, citing their belief that he had aligned himself with what they perceived as the “devil’s army.” This estrangement came as a consequence of his decision to leave Congress due to his fundamental disagreements with the Republican Party, a move that exposed him and his family to a barrage of death threats.

These threats even extended to his family, with individuals making horrifying calls, including threats to harm his 5-month-old child. Kinzinger opened up about these challenges as he discussed his newly released book, “Renegade.”

When asked about his party affiliation, Kinzinger admitted that it’s a challenging question for him. He stated that he still identifies as a Republican, primarily because he is committed to the ongoing struggle within the party. He believes that the United States requires two robust political parties, both a healthy Democratic Party and a healthy Republican Party. Consequently, he is unwilling to relinquish the title of being a Republican.

However, Kinzinger made it clear that if President Biden faces a rematch against former President Trump in the 2024 elections, he would cast his vote in favor of President Biden. He expressed concerns about what he viewed as the potential for “authoritarianism” under another Trump administration, and he warned of the possibility of a second insurrection akin to the events of January 6, 2021. In his view, the guardrails of democracy were tested during the events of January 6, and he cautioned that they may not withstand a second assault, as those attempting to disrupt the democratic system have gained knowledge and experience from the past events.
