Major University Folds, Trump Wins Again

In a stunning turn of events, Cornell University has agreed to pay $60 million and bow to the Trump administration’s civil rights policies — marking a major victory for President Donald J. Trump and his push to restore accountability in higher education.

Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff announced the deal on Friday, describing it as a “partnership” that would restore more than $250 million in frozen federal research funds. But to millions of Americans fed up with political bias on campus, it looks more like a long-overdue reckoning for an Ivy League institution accused of ignoring discrimination against Jewish students.

Trump Administration Freezes Billions Over Civil Rights Failures

The Trump administration previously froze over $1 billion in funding to Cornell after federal investigators accused the university of violating Title VI civil-rights protections. Officials said Cornell failed to ensure safety and equal treatment for Jewish students amid escalating harassment and protests.

Rather than back down, Trump’s Justice Department held firm — demanding that Cornell take responsibility, implement stricter civil-rights policies, and accept the administration’s interpretation of the law.

Now, under the settlement, the university will pay $30 million directly to the federal government and dedicate another $30 million toward agricultural research supporting American farmers — a clear nod to the Trump team’s “America First” agenda.

A Major Win for Fairness and Accountability

“This agreement revives that partnership while affirming Cornell’s commitment to independence and academic excellence,” Kotlikoff said.

But critics aren’t buying it. Many conservatives view the settlement as proof that elite universities are finally being held accountable for years of political bias and selective enforcement of civil-rights protections.

Trump’s supporters see it as yet another victory in his broader effort to defend free speech, protect Jewish students, and drain the swamp inside higher education — where taxpayer dollars have too often funded anti-American rhetoric and radical ideology.

The Message Is Clear: No School Is Above the Law

For decades, Ivy League schools operated with near-total immunity. Under Trump’s leadership, that era may finally be coming to an end.

Cornell’s settlement sends a powerful message to every university in America: Play by the rules, or lose federal funding.

And once again, Donald Trump delivers — putting America’s students, taxpayers, and values first.
