Fox News Attacks Trump

Is President Trump to blame for the collapse of trust in the mainstream media? One of Fox News’s most recognizable anchors, Bret Baier, says the answer is yes—but for reasons that might surprise you.

In a recent Politico Playbook interview, Baier admitted, “Of course, yeah, he kind of broke the system.” He added that this disruption was likely part of Trump’s overall strategy to expose what millions of Americans see as deep-rooted media bias.

“Middle America didn’t trust what they were getting from a lot of media,” Baier explained.

That’s no shock to most Americans over 50. Many have watched the decline of honest journalism for decades, replaced by corporate spin and political narratives. According to a Gallup poll from October 2024—just weeks before the election—only 30% of Americans said they trusted the media to report “fairly and accurately.” That means 7 out of 10 Americans no longer believe the news tells them the truth.

President Trump has long been vocal about his criticism of the mainstream press, especially legacy outlets and biased broadcast networks. Throughout his second term, he’s applied pressure to media companies that have failed to report objectively—something his supporters see as long overdue.

Even Fox News, once seen as a reliable conservative outlet, has come under fire. President Trump has openly challenged the network’s polling methods and some of its pundits. However, he’s also appointed several Fox contributors to key positions within his administration—proving he values independent thinkers who tell it straight.

At a time when freedom of speech and media accountability are front and center, many Americans see Trump’s approach not as reckless—but as necessary. For patriotic voters, especially those 50 and older who remember what real journalism looked like, the president’s pushback against media manipulation is not only welcome—it’s essential.
