Bush Trashes Trump

Former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum went on CNN Wednesday night and launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump, accusing him of plotting to silence Democrats and control future elections.

Frum, a longtime Trump critic, appeared on Erin Burnett OutFront and claimed that Trump and his top adviser Stephen Miller are preparing a sweeping crackdown following the assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.

“We don’t have to speculate about what comes next,” Frum warned. “President Trump and Stephen Miller have already told us. Democratic fundraising will be targeted next. Democratic speech will be suppressed next.

Frum pointed to the Justice Department’s investigation into ActBlue, the Democrats’ largest fundraising platform, as so-called “evidence” of Trump’s plan to cripple political opposition. He alleged that this was the first step toward making future elections “unfree and unfair.”

Bondi Moves to Stop Political Violence

Frum’s comments come as Attorney General Pam Bondi announced tougher measures against politically motivated hate speech following Charlie Kirk’s shocking assassination.

While Bondi emphasized that her focus is on preventing political violence, liberal pundits and some legal experts claim her plan could violate First Amendment free speech protections.

Frum, however, went even further — accusing Trump of undermining the entire democratic process.

“Donald Trump has maliciously attacked the standard of living of ordinary Americans with his tariffs,” Frum claimed. “He’s corrupt. He’s taking billions of dollars in meme coins and crypto schemes. He cannot afford a free and fair election in 2026 — and stopping one is what he thinks about every single day.”

Obama Joins the Anti-Trump Chorus

Former President Barack Obama piled on Thursday, issuing a statement on the social media platform X accusing Trump of practicing the very “cancel culture” he claims to oppose.

“After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level,” Obama wrote.

He claimed Trump uses regulatory threats to pressure TV networks into silencing journalists and commentators who speak against him.

Earlier this year, Obama warned that America was moving “dangerously close” to becoming an autocracy — a clear attack aimed at Trump and his growing influence.

Conservatives Call Out Hypocrisy

Many conservatives see these warnings as pure political theater.

For years, Democrats and left-wing activists censored conservative voices online, targeted Christian businesses, and even weaponized federal agencies to attack Trump supporters.

Now, the same Democrats who once cheered cancel culture are suddenly crying foul — right after a top conservative leader, Charlie Kirk, was murdered by a radical extremist.

Meanwhile, President Trump continues to fight for everyday Americans, battling a biased media and a corrupt political establishment that has worked tirelessly to destroy his America First agenda.

The 2026 Midterms: Battle for America’s Future

With the 2026 midterm elections approaching, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Frum and Obama’s rhetoric shows just how desperate the political establishment has become to cling to power and stop Trump’s populist movement.

Voters will soon face a clear choice:

  • Stand with Trump and the America First movement, or
  • Allow Washington elites to tighten their grip on power and silence patriotic Americans.

Key Takeaway for Readers

This CNN attack on Trump isn’t just political commentary — it’s a warning shot.
The same people who weaponized cancel culture and censorship for years are now accusing Trump of doing the very things they perfected.

The battle for free speech, fair elections, and the future of the United States is only just beginning.
