Breaking: Trump Tariffs Officially Canceled

A federal appeals court has just delivered a stunning blow to President Donald Trump’s America First economic agenda, ruling that most of his landmark global tariffs are “illegal.”

The decision threatens the very foundation of Trump’s trade strategy, which reshaped America’s economic ties with China, Mexico, and Canada — and protected U.S. workers from unfair foreign competition.

Court Attacks Trump’s Trade Agenda

On Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled that the law Trump used — the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) — does not give presidents the power to impose sweeping tariffs.

But in a dramatic twist, the judges allowed the tariffs to remain in place until October 14, giving Trump time to take the fight all the way to the Supreme Court.

Trump Blasts “Partisan Judges”

President Trump immediately fired back, calling the ruling pure politics.

“A biased appeals court wrongly ruled against our tariffs today, but America will prevail in the end. Let there be no doubt — every single tariff remains fully in place!”

Trump warned Americans that removing these tariffs would be “a total disaster” for farmers, manufacturers, and working families.

Tariffs That Put America First

Since returning to office, Trump has slapped massive duties on foreign imports to shield American jobs and rebuild U.S. industry:

  • 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada
  • Up to 20% tariffs on China — with penalties reaching 145% before a temporary truce
  • 50% tariffs on India
  • 35% tariffs on Canadian goods
  • 100% tariffs on foreign films
  • 25% “fentanyl tariff” targeting China and drug-pushing nations

Trump also ended the decades-old “de minimis” loophole that let Chinese e-commerce giants flood the U.S. with cheap, duty-free goods — a move hailed by small businesses across America.

The Bigger Picture: America’s Future at Stake

The ruling now sets up a historic Supreme Court showdown over the president’s power to protect American workers from foreign exploitation.

Trump vowed to fight to the end:

“Now, with the help of the United States Supreme Court, we will use tariffs to the benefit of our Nation, and Make America Rich, Strong, and Powerful Again!”

For seniors, retirees, and working families who have seen jobs shipped overseas and Chinese goods overwhelm the market, this battle is about more than tariffs — it’s about whether America stays strong and independent.
