Biden Trying To Make A Political Comeback

As President Donald Trump marks a successful 100 days in his second term, former President Joe Biden is attempting a political revival—bringing on a Democratic Party insider to help salvage what’s left of his struggling legacy.

Biden Hires Crisis PR Veteran as Democrat Infighting Heats Up

Multiple sources confirm Biden has enlisted Chris Meagher, a seasoned Democrat strategist and former White House spokesperson, to guide his public messaging. Meagher previously worked under Biden during his first term and held key roles at the Pentagon and Department of Transportation.

This latest move signals that Biden is not ready to retire quietly, even as his own party continues to turn the page.

Breaking Tradition: Biden Reenters Public Spotlight Amid Trump’s Momentum

Traditionally, outgoing presidents remain silent for the first 100 days of a new administration. Not Biden. In a sharp break from precedent, the former president is making multiple media appearances—including an upcoming live segment on ABC’s left-leaning daytime show, The View—arranged in part by Meagher.

Earlier this week, Biden also sat down for an exclusive interview with the BBC, marking his first televised appearance since Trump’s second inauguration.

Democrats Divided: Many on the Left Want Biden to Step Aside

Biden’s return to the spotlight hasn’t been warmly welcomed by everyone. Many within the Democratic establishment blame him for the party’s devastating losses in 2024 and believe his delayed exit from the race handed President Trump a decisive victory.

Despite once being hailed for pushing liberal legislation, Biden is now seen by many Democrats as an obstacle to party renewal. Meanwhile, Trump’s America First policies continue to gain support among independents and conservatives alike.

Trump Administration May Release Audio of Biden’s Mental Fitness Interview

According to a recent Politico report, the Trump administration may soon release audio from Biden’s classified documents interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. The February 2024 report raised serious concerns about Biden’s memory lapses and mental fitness while he was still seeking reelection at age 81.

The former president’s disastrous performance in the 2024 presidential debate only intensified calls for him to drop out. By late July, Biden finally bowed to party pressure, stepping aside and allowing Vice President Kamala Harris to take the Democratic nomination.

Still, many on the left believe he stayed in the race far too long.

“I don’t think it would have mattered,” Biden told the BBC, defending his delayed exit. “It was a hard decision… I think it was the right decision.”

Biden Attacks Trump’s Bold Policies, Mocking Gulf Renaming and Greenland Push

In the same interview, Biden slammed President Trump for rebranding the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, calling it “not who we are.” He also mocked Trump’s repeated proposals to acquire Greenland, take over the Panama Canal, and add Canada as the 51st state—moves that many Trump supporters view as visionary, not extreme.

“What president talks like that?” Biden asked. “We’re about democracy and opportunity, not confiscation.”

He also criticized Trump’s peace strategy in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, calling it “modern-day appeasement”—a term many believe is out of touch with voters who are tired of endless foreign wars.

Chris Meagher: A Key Democrat Insider Returns to Biden’s Side

Meagher brings a long track record in left-wing political campaigns. He served with the Democratic National Committee, helped reelect Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), and worked closely with Pete Buttigieg during the 2020 primaries. He later joined Biden’s White House press team and became the public face of the Pentagon under Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Now, Meagher returns to help Biden clean up his image—a tall order given the tidal wave of support behind Trump’s decisive leadership and the growing momentum of conservative values across the nation.
